Journal Entry #7.0 - Madhouse Chronicles

I made a new hobby. Through the course of my boredom, I found myself searching for horror stories. Even though I'm a scaredy-cat, I still enjoy reading them for some reason. The first ever horror stories that I read on the internet are Creepypastas, and the ones I've read are very entertaining.

That's why I tried making some horror stories myself, inspired from Matt Dymerski's "The Asylum" series. I entitled it Madhouse Chronicles and I currently have three stories in this series. It will be about the maniacs inside a particular asylum dubbed "the Madhouse". It'll go on as long as I get ideas for stories, but for now, you can see the three stories I made here on my blog. Enjoy!

Journal Entry #6.0 - I have returned.

Hello guys.

And I hope it stays that way. SERIOUSLY.

I'll try to stick with my commitments even though I really suck at them, blogging included.

I'm going to rebuild the blog soon, and I'm gonna upload the horror series I wrote titled "Madhouse Chronicles" soon.

Journal Entry #5 - My First Ever Comic

I've always been a fan of comics. Whether it's American comics, Japanese manga, or Korean Manhwa, I always find time to sit down and read as many chapters as I can. Due to my really tight schedule, I sometimes find myself not having time to download a TV series, anime or movie I've been wanting to watch. That's why if it has a graphic novel or comic equivalent, I won't hesitate to read through that instead. It's faster to read through a few chapters of manga, than watch a 20-25 minute or so episode that's actually tackles almost the same amount of content.

So I thought "why not try making one"? And so I did. This is just mini-version though. I want to practice my art and story making with these little comic strips. When I think I've already had enough experience and skill to draw a manga, with story arcs and all, that's when I'll officially start. But for me, this is an important step in achieving my goals as an artist.

"If we do discover a theory of everything...it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason—for then we would truly know the mind of God." -Stephen Hawking

Here is a picture of a Brain Cell and the known Universe. Isn't the resemblance uncanny?

Journal Entry #4.2 - Thank Goodness for Neurogenesis

As a night person who rarely gets sleep and experiences a whole lot of sleep deprivation, not to mention the stress I go through, it's pretty much a given that I killed a whole lot of my brain cells, aka neurons. Back at elementary, the science textbooks say that once a neuron dies, that's it, it won't ever regenerate. As a person who values intelligence, I shudder at the thought of becoming less and less intelligent as I lose more sleep. But apparently, the brain can actually repair itself and form new neurons in a process called Neurogenesis. Thanks to that, I still have hope of regaining my lost grey matter.
